Feeling your feelings is the simplest form of healing, in that we make no judgements on them, we simply feel them.
Most problems, patterns, illness and scarcity are the result of dragging along unfinished business in the way of negative conflicts and emotions from the past. If we are willing to feel all that we are feeling, even when painful and unpleasant, we will finish these feelings and leave peace in their place. If we are willing to uncover the places where we have hidden old painful feelings and feel them, we can then discover the good feelings and gifts underneath them.
As we feel our feelings, especially old ones, we re-associate with our own heart and our ability to receive. This opens up enjoyment, aliveness and flow. The best thing to do in terms of feeling our feelings is to take the problem or issue, and feel everything around it until we reach strong positive feelings. We can do almost anything while still feeling our feelings. We can lean into our feelings, even exaggerate them a bit so that we move through them quickly.
It is important to know that at times we may start feeling our feelings and the first one we feel is likely attached to a number of others, sometimes in layers. It is important to know that either dissociation or hysteria are opposite forms of avoiding our true feelings. It is important to know that if we hit an unconscious emotion, it may prove exquisitely painful, but it will not kill us to feel it. Only stuffing it inside could lead to dissociation, disease and death.
If we reach a place of defense, of blankness, emptiness, nothingness or non-feeling, all we need to do is simply feel that and it also melts away. If we feel good feelings, they naturally increase and get stronger. All evolution from one angle is simply the ability to feel greater and greater amounts of love and joy.
